Teaching high school mathematics is not just about the content. It is about teaching students to be critical thinkers and problem-solvers in a world that is constantly changing. My ultimate goal is to make mathematics and its processes accessible to all students.
While students are in my classroom, they will be asked to participate in the discussions and really be present in the learning. My classroom is collaborative in nature. I want your students to be able to work cooperatively with their classmates as that is a 21st-century skill most professions require. In addition to cooperative learning, your students will also display their knowledge through quizzes, tests and six-weeks projects.
I have Google Classrooms for each of my classes: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 and Precalculus. Your students should already be apart of my classroom, but as a parent, you are also welcome to join so that you can receive alerts about assignments. I have listed the codes below:
Algebra 1: l4qtkcj
Algebra 2: 2somgk6
(All letters above are lowercase)
If you or your student needs to reach me you can email me at
firstname.lastname@example.org or you can leave me a message in the Google Classroom.
