Special Education Teacher: Life Skills/Inclusion Support
Bronte ISD is looking to hire a compassionate certified teacher that would be a part of our Special Education team!! This Special Education Teacher would serve students in Elementary Life Skills and would also provide inclusion supports in a variety of grade levels, up through 12th grade depending upon student needs. The candidate would ideally start as soon as possible, but depending on candidate availability, position could possibly begin the 26-27 school year. Applicant must possess a Bachelor's Degree & be certified as a Special Education teacher in the state of Texas.
Preferred experience in a life skills, behavior, or autism unit setting. District will provide professional development to enhance already learned skills. Person will have a case load for student IEP implementation. Candidate must be comfortable with personal care services, providing daily living support, i.e. toileting/diapering for students that need these services. Candidate also must be able to implement safety protocols and physical interventions as trained in district procedures, including de-escalation techniques and adaptation.
